Adoptable Pups

Meet Joey 4 Years Old – Lab Mix

Joey was born in November 2020 after his mother was rescued from distressing conditions in Tennessee. In January 2021, Joey was adopted, but due to unforeseen family issues, he was unfortunately given up for adoption. He previously lived with children aged 4 and 8 and is gentle with kids of all ages. Joey is an affectionate and sweet boy who brightens everyone’s day. He is full of energy, especially enjoying playing fetch. Joey behaves well on a leash, follows basic commands, is very intelligent, and is eager to learn. He is currently undergoing crate training and making great progress! Introductions with other dogs are necessary for Joey, but he is very sociable. He is neutered, house-trained, and up to date on vaccinations. If you are considering adopting Joey, please check out our website rowquinrescue.org for more details.

Meet Fergie – 5 years Old – Lab/Pit mix

Fergie, a former breeding dog, has had numerous litters of puppies. This experience has given her a unique maternal sweetness. She loves toys and especially enjoys playing fetch. While she is still learning manners, she can get a bit enthusiastic during play. Currently, we are assisting her in improving her patience with the help of our trainer. Fergie knows a few commands, is quite intelligent, and is progressing well with her leash training. She pays close attention to instructions and with some treats, she could easily pick up new tricks. Fergie would do best in a home where she is the only pet. Although she could potentially live with older children, proper introductions would be necessary. Fergie has been waiting for a while to find a new home and may require extra time to adjust. If you are considering adopting Fergie, please visit our website at Rowquinrescue.org to complete an adoption application.

Meet Kylo – 2 Years Old – Husky

Kylo is a different kind of Huskie.  He has the Huskie looks and is super smart and can be vocal but he is not a jerk and WILL COME BACK WHEN CALLED….THE FIRST TIME ; )

He was an owner surrender, who did not have the room for him nor the time.  Kylo needs  your time and attention.  He is a busy boy and loves to play and loves his stuffies.  He is good in the house but you MUST secure your doors and windows as he knows how to open them and will go exploring.  He loves to be outside, as most Huskies do.  He loves the attention from my teenage children and is learning to be playful with other dogs.  He is dog selective but his social circle is expanding.  He wants to go with you, but I would not leave him unattended in your car, even in a crate as he can be destructive.  We are working on that.  He does well at the vets’ office.

Meet Diego 5 Years Old – Lab Mix

Diego is a calm and mature soul who craves a peaceful life. He behaves well on a leash, responds to basic commands, and finds joy in chew toys and walks. Given his size, a home with children older than 12 would be most suitable. While Diego could get along with other dogs, a gradual introduction is recommended. Diego loves snuggling and unwinding with you while watching TV. He is crate trained and willingly goes in for naps. However, he possesses a strong prey drive and may chase cats, so a cat-free environment is essential. Diego has been in our care for some time and may require extra time to adjust to his new surroundings. If you are interested in adopting Diego, please visit our website at rowquinrescue.org and fill out our adoption application.

Meet Fernando 4 Years Old – XL Bully Breed

Fernando is a handsome man.  He does tend to drool all over himself though.  He is fully recovered from his surgery, as he ate his bed, because that is what dogs do sometimes. He will be out and about soon and will be in the Doggie U training program once we can find a volunteer to work with him.  He is a big boy and once moving, walks very nicely on a leash, but if he wants to drag you over to something or jump up on you, you need to be strong enough to take the hit. He loves car rides and getting ice cream. He does resource guard so do not take anything away from him. Breed experience is a MUST! A pack leader is imperative to his success in a home.  A thorough application will be needed and vetted, with a Foster to Adopt clause, prior to any adoptions being approved.
